Poster Abstracts
We invited the submission of Poster Presentations on the conference theme of 'developments Precision Medicine' relevant to paediatric and TYA oncology and malignant haematology.
The submission deadline for Abstracts (29th June 2017) has now passed.
IMPORTANT: Authors of submitted and accepted poster abstracts please note:
- The presenting author must Register and pay the £60 fee for attendance at the conference by 14th July 2017; the abstract will be withdrawn if this is not done.
- We do not expect you to request any revision of your submitted Abstract. Essential revisions due to serious errors discovered in your Abstract may be requested up to the 21st July. After that no changes will be accepted or made as the book of Abstracts will have been completed ready for printing
- The final display Posters may be up to A0 in size in Portrait orientation or A1 size in Landscape or Portrait. Due to space restrictions, larger width posters will not be accepted.
As there will be about 50 Posters for people to view, we recommend that you keep your layout clear and concise without any dense text. If you wish, you may also bring A4 handouts with more detail to hand out.
- Please note: All accepted abstracts will be published online in advance of the conference and available to registered conference delegates.
Once an abstract is accepted, any requests to withdraw must be submitted by email to posters@childhoodcancer2017.org.uk by 21st July 2017.
Abstracts cannot be withdrawn after this date as the conference booklet will be being printed.
We especially called for Posters in four areas
- Diagnostics and prognostics
submissions should deal with the impact of precision medicine technology on accuracy of diagnosis and/or on improved accuracy of prognosis and stratification of therapy
- Disease Modelling, Identification of New Therapeutic Targets
submissions should focus on preclinical work including clinical models which may lead to new therapies
- Current Clinical Trials and Health Economics
submissions should focus on current or planned clinical trials of “targeted therapies”. We would also welcome submissions concerning the cost benefit of precision medicine
- Prediction of toxicity
submissions should focus on the application of precision medicine technology to the prediction and possible amelioration of short and or long term toxicity of treatment
Eligibility
- Abstracts must be based on original, unpublished research which is not currently submitted elsewhere
- The research reported must relate to the conference Precision Medicine themes
Presenting author
- The presenting author must be a co-author listed on the submitted abstract
- The presenting author is responsible for ensuring that all authors have read the abstract and agreed to be co-authors
